SMS Messaging & Consent

Service-Related Messages Only

Averflow enables businesses to send non-promotional, service-related SMS messages to their existing customers. Examples include appointment reminders, appointment confirmations, appointment cancellations, and service reminders.

How SMS Consent Works

A business adds a customer to Averflow for service-related SMS messaging only after obtaining the customer's phone number and permission to receive these messages.

Averflow maintains the customer's SMS opt-out status and prevents service-related SMS messages from being sent when the customer has opted out.

Example Opt-In Message

Averflow: We'd like to send you appointment and service reminders by text. Reply YES to confirm. Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help.

Message Templates

Averflow provides a predefined set of service-related SMS templates. Businesses select from the available templates and schedule them for their customers.

Businesses cannot create or modify SMS content outside of the templates provided by Averflow. Templates are limited to non-promotional, service-related communications.

Business Responsibility

The business using Averflow is responsible for its relationship with the customer, for obtaining the customer’s permission, and for providing accurate customer information.

Businesses may not upload purchased, rented, scraped, or otherwise unauthorized phone numbers for SMS messaging.

No Marketing or Promotional SMS

Averflow's SMS service is limited to non-promotional, service-related communications. Marketing, advertising, promotional offers, and unsolicited SMS messages are not permitted.

Opting Out and Getting Help

Recipients can reply STOP at any time to opt out of SMS messages and HELP for assistance. Message frequency varies.
