This page is maintained by Averflow to explain the measures we use to help prevent spam, abuse, and unwanted messages. It is not a legal certification or guarantee.
Our Approach to Messaging
Averflow is built for businesses that want to send helpful, expected service reminders to their own customers. We do not support bulk unsolicited messaging, purchased lists, or any use of the platform to harass, mislead, or spam recipients.
Consent and Use
Users should only add customers who have agreed to receive service reminders from their business. It is the user's responsibility to follow applicable messaging laws and to respect opt-out requests.
Built-In Sending Limits
To reduce the chance of over-messaging, Averflow applies limits based on the account plan. These include per-recipient caps, daily and monthly send limits, and scheduling windows that help messages arrive at appropriate local times. Trial accounts have a lower send cap than paying accounts.
Timezone-Aware Scheduling
SMS reminders are scheduled based on the recipient's local timezone when possible, so messages are not sent during early or late hours. Unmapped numbers fall back to a default North American schedule.
Unsubscribe and Opt-Out
Marketing-style emails and other message types include an unsubscribe link where applicable. Recipients can opt out of further messages, and users should honor those requests promptly.
Content and Conduct
Averflow filters out commonly offensive language from user-entered business and customer details. We reserve the right to suspend or restrict accounts used for abusive, fraudulent, or illegal messaging.
Reporting Abuse
If you received an unwanted message from an Averflow user, or if you believe a user is misusing the platform, please contact us at support@averflow.co with the phone number or email address that received the message and any details you can share. We review reports and take appropriate action.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Safety Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page.
